YOUR SEASON WILL COME -SHUN JEALOUSY

“And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands. And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.”
1 Samuel 18:6-9 KJV
What began as a celebration of victory became a turning point in Saul’s life. The moment Saul heard that David was credited with ten thousands, while he was credited with only thousands, jealousy entered his heart.
1 Samuel 18:8–9 says:
“And Saul was very wroth... And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.”
It is a powerful reminder that another person’s greater celebration should never become the source of our bitterness.
The mercies of God are rich towards us all. God has a beautiful and appointed time for everyone. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” And He “hath made every thing beautiful in his time.” — Eccl. 3:1, 11
Therefore, do not allow another person’s testimony to make you despise your own journey.
Your season will come.
Your time will come.
Your manifestation will come.
Your appointed moment will come.
The gifts of God have been bestowed upon every man according to the measure of grace given to him, “to profit withal.” — 1 Cor. 12:7
What God has deposited in you may not look like what He has deposited in another person, but different measures do not mean different destinies.
David's ten thousands did not cancel Saul's thousands.
Another person's rising does not mean your falling.
Another person's celebration does not mean your rejection.
Another person's manifestation does not mean God has forgotten you.
Do not compete with another man's season. Prepare for yours.
Peter tells us that God has already given us “all things that pertain unto life and godliness” and instructs us to add to what God has given us—faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity. — 2 Pet. 1:3–7
So, activate what God has placed within you and wait for its manifestation.
Build your faith through prayer.
Strengthen your spirit through fellowship.
Renew your mind through the Word.
Build godly relationships.
Develop godly character.
Keep growing.
Keep preparing.
Keep serving.
Keep trusting God.
Grace may be given instantly, but manifestation often comes progressively.
David was anointed long before he was enthroned.
Joseph dreamed long before he governed.
Abraham received the promise long before Isaac arrived.
Never mistake delay for denial.
David's increasing recognition did not diminish Saul's legitimate achievements. But Saul's inability to celebrate another man's rising became the beginning of his downfall.
May you never destroy what God has given you because of what He has given another person in Jesus name.
Celebrate others.
Learn from others.
Bless others.
Pray for others.
And when your appointed time comes, you will not need to fight for another man's ten thousands. Your own testimony will speak.
Your season is coming.
Your manifestation is coming.
Your appointed time is coming.
And when God makes it beautiful, no man's celebration will be able to diminish it in the mighty name of Jesus.
Stay with God. Keep growing. Keep preparing. Your time will surely come.
