The Powerless Golden Cross | Don’t Confuse Jewelry with a Crucified Life
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. ”
Galatians 2:20 KJV
Never confuse a fancy gold chain and cross around your neck with true spiritual transformation.
If sin still controls you, the flesh still dominates you, and worldliness still excites you, that cross is just an ornament ; a symbol without substance.
The real cross is not gold. It is rugged, blood-stained, and life-altering. Until the cross leaves your chain and pierces your soul, you haven’t begun living the crucified life.
“I have been crucified with Christ…” — Galatians 2:20
